WIRES Wildlife Rescue is the largest wildlife rescue & rehabilitation charity in Australia. It is a non-profit organisation providing rescue and rehabilitation for all native Australian fauna. All animal rescuers and carers are volunteers.

➖Beyond Blue Bushfire Response

“Beyond Blue is an Australian independent non-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, suicide, anxiety disorders and other related mental disorders. The have recently launched a response program aimed at children, adolescents, parents, caregivers, teachers and health professionals affected by the bushfires.”

➖Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery.

Since July 2019, Red Cross teams have responded to 30 emergencies (some of which have been going for up to 6 weeks) and supported over 18,600 people, through the efforts of more than 1,590 volunteers and staff. Right now they are supporting thousands of people in evacuation centres and recovery hubs across Australia. They also run the “Register.Find.Reunite” service, which reunifies people who have been separated in the bushfire emergency.

➖Bargo Dingo Sanctuary

The Bargo Dingo Sanctuary is a registered charity which maintains a colony of Dingoes for public education and Dingo conservation. They were absolutely devastated by the Green Wattle Creek fire and are looking to gather funds to help the dingoes with temporary shelter and accommodation as they rebuild.

➖Majors Creek Wombat Refuge

The Majors Creek Wombat Sanctuary do amazing work. They have been under threat for over 2 months by the fires in parks to the north, west and now east. ”

➖Rural Aid

“Rural Aid is one of Australia’s largest rural charities. The charity provides financial assistance, water and counselling to farmers in times of drought, flood or fire. Other initiatives support its vision that farming and rural communities are safeguarded to ensure their sustainability both during and after these natural disasters.”

➖Malua Bay Rural Fire Service

“My local Rural Fire Service. Two of the members of the brigade lost homes and four lost cars on that fateful date of New Years Eve 2019. They were out defending the livelihood of their town and it’s citizens, including keeping thousands of people safe at the Surf Club / Beach.”

➖Cedars Creek Wombat Rescue

“These guys have done some incredible work over the past few months. Not only do they care for and search for Wombats, they are out and about in the surrounding fire affected areas, dropping water for animals and searching for ALL injured wildlife.
